I mean like, what does it look like? Do they literally transform in real time like in the series or do they go into a bubble or an aura cloud and come out as another form or what?

First my digivice glows. Then Sekki gets covered in a bright light like how Terriermon evolved to Gargomon in the movie.
I don't see what happens inside that but when he comes out a second later he's a different form.

What yato said. Rave glows, shrinks/grows as needed, then appears in his next form. It's kinda like in the series when they dedigivolve only in reverse.

Caym turns into a bright electric blue, light, and you can see the shape of whatever form he's turning into. Pretty neato.

Sort of like the body being enveloped in a bright very light blue light, and the body shape grows and lengthens, but then when the light fades, the evolution is complete. Looks the same way when they degenerate.

Preeeety much what everyone else has said lol. It's like when Pokemon evolve. Bright light flashes, the shape begins to change and when the light fades, ta-dahhh the evolved form is there. As for how exactly Red evolves, it's a little difficult to explain? Sorta? Like...Red can sorta use energy from myself to evolve when it's necessary, but for the most part, she doesn't really need my energy to do so. From what I've heard from others and experienced myself, Digimon have the ability to evolve on their own just fine, unlike in the show. Humans just add a boost of energy to the Digimon if it's needed.
