I agree with your bringing up Mother Mother, Caravan Palace, and Tally Hall; I'm quite a fan of them as well.
For others... I don't listen to many English bands, but Set It Off is a good one.

Despite having been born in the early 90's I find myself listening to a lot of 1980's new wave and synthpop groups (e.g. Erasure, Eurythmics, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, Modern Talking, etc.). But I like modern synthpop acts as well like M83 and St. Lucia. I also like new age artists like Emerald Web and Patrick O'Hearn and 1970's progressive rock groups like Genesis and the Alan Parsons Project. I also like the music that the film directors David Lynch and John Carpenter make. Overall, I guess I have pretty diverse musical tastes.
