Hello, nice to see that there are people here from time to time. Call me Drago Angel, or Drago for short. I'm more interested in the spiritual / metaphysical / divinatory side of Digimon and contacting our partners, since that's worked best for me, and was hoping to meet like-minded people. Nice to meet you!

Welcome to the forum. I'm not particularly sure if there are any active ones left, unfortunately; who knows if there's some 'secret society' type lurking about, though. Despite the inactivity, I hope someone comes around that can discuss your topics of interest. Feel free to make threads or reply to things that interest you regardless.

Sites dead and the community is a cult. Best you forget you ever found this relic of a bygone era and go do something else with your life unless you want to be a part of the next Waco Texas.

Quit being an ass and wasting your time making things unpleasant for everyone, Fox. If you've no interest, why are you still here?

I used to think that way Fox, but my belief in Digimon will always stay. Besides, the entire state of Texas is like a cult... lol!!!

I’m here to worn people about the cult and help them avoid getting involved in it.
Drago Angel, listen. Believe what ever you want to believe but keep it to yourself. When I compare the Digicult to Waco Texas I’m not talking about the town itself. I’m comparing it to the Branch Davidians and the massacre that occur at their compound in the town.
Look up Jonestown, NXIVM, Heaven's Gate, and the Branch Davidians then tell me if any of those seem like something you want to be a part of. Because that’s what’s waiting for you on the other side.
Trust me. I was there 9 years ago in the middle of the second age of the believer community. I watched as the community slowly devolved from an open description of the belief into the cult it is now in the fourth age. And you don’t want to go through any of this.
Believe what you want to believe but what ever you’re looking for you’re not going to find it here.

We have reasons we don't want anybody to join, and if you want to call it a cult just because you're not included then that's a real jump to conclusions there. I know we seem like assholes in this group but we pretty much do it out of safety for most people who aren't directly involved in the "Digicult"

I left of my own vocation because it’s a cult and am glad I left. And even if I was offered a million dollars to join again I would still refuse to join back up.
It’s toxic as fuck and exhibits many cult behaviours such as:
Thought control via requiring members to internalize the group's doctrine as truth, using loaded language and clichés which constrict knowledge, stop critical thoughts, and reduce complexities into platitudinous buzz words. And Emotional control by manipulating and narrowing the range of feelings ie some emotions and/or needs are deemed as evil, wrong or selfish. Teaching emotion-stopping techniques to block feelings of anger and doubt. Make the members feel that problems are always their own fault, never the leader’s or the group’s fault. And instill fear, such as fear of the outside world, enemies, leaving or being shunned by the group.
And even a little bit of Information Control by minimizing and discouraging access to non-cult sources of information ie former members. Something you’re doing right now!
I would probably still be a member of the cult if I hadn’t taken a World Religions course in high school and learned the warning signs.
But the biggest cult signs are the claims of knowing what happens when you die (you’re warrior eats your soul) and that timeline jumping the cult higher ups claim to do.
Those are the reasons you’re a cult and i’m just poking at the surface! In order to truly unravel how this community is a cult I’d have to give a big college level lecture on the communities history from its humble beginnings to just a few years ago when I left. And I’m not emotionally prepared for that nor do I have the time.
So to all wayward souls out there looking for guidance in this crazy messed up world I give these words of wisdom; What you’re looking for is inside you and you need to find it on your own. Nobody can find it for you and no matter what anyone says nobody can lead you to it but yourself. Wanting to fit in or feel like you belong isn’t worth joining a cult.

I believe there is a difference between having this belief itself and wanting to speak with people about it vs thoughtlessly subscribing to the "teachings" of people who clearly are creating a cult of personality. This does not always overlap, but some spaces are more likely to nurture the latter and allow it to grow. That is why I disengaged from actively visiting a certain forum near the end of its life, and always remained a bit distant from some conversations on it due to feeling like they were trying to control peoples' opinions and experiences. However, again, I don't think it's particularly right to stifle conversation about this belief as a whole because of those occurrences. It is important to caution people and warn them to think for themselves rather than simply believing interpretations that others feed them, but that applies to all things, not just obscure belief communities.

I don’t know what you’re goin on about in most of these because as far as I know, this stuff ain’t happenin. Plus I don’t think we’ve ever wanted to bring in MORE people into the deeper groups because it just seems stupid to rope in people into this stuff. In fact, a lot of the inner groups try to actively distance themselves from outer groups so nobody is endangered. You can absolutely think what you want but I’m just saying that we don’t really get to completely choose the life we have at this point, and we don’t want that for people like the ones on this forum.

That’s even more cult like! The fact that there’s inner and outer circles instead of everyone being on the same level is a major red flag your in a cult. “I’m just saying that we don’t really get to completely choose the life we have at this point” CRIMSON FLAG! That’s literally how all cult survivors describe their lives while a part of them. Though I am glad to hear that you admit you don’t want any of that for any one else. That’s actually good to hear. It also sounds that you are at least some what aware that you’re in a cult even if you don’t want to fully admit it to yourself. So let me say this; you do have a choice. You have free will. You can choose to leave the life you have right now and start a new. You always have that choice. Even if it doesn’t feel like it right now. It might be hard or seem impossible but as long as you draw breath you will always have the freedom and choice to walk away and never look back.

That’s fair. But if you’re going to do so I would recommend creating a new site untouched by blight the cult has left on the community, instead of using this one which was created by the cults founding members.

I can tell you right now that it’s not as black and white as you think it is. Everybody absolutely has free will and is free to leave. People do all the time. But it’s more complicated than you think. But I’m done with this discussion. If you think it’s a cult, I have no good reasons to change your mind, or anybody elses. DFT was made for people to theorize and have fun, not discuss whether the inner workings of the outside of this forum is run by a cult
